JRebel 5.5.2 is released and available for download! The new version is made compatible with JBoss 6.2 EAP application server and it also features a few nice additions to the list of supported frameworks: Ebean and Stripes-Guice library.
We also updated the integrations for several frameworks to throw less Javassist CannotCompileExceptions, and of course some good bug fixes have been added. Hibernate cache appeared to be closed after reloading of SessionFactory – so this is fixed now. EJB
@PostConstruct methods are now handled more consistently on WebSphere.
JRebel Remoting doesn’t require to deploy rebel.xml file any more in case if you enable remoting plugin (
-Drebel.remoting_plugin=true). The configuration file will be just ignored, but do not forget to add rebel-remote.xml configuration file – that is required for Remoting to distinguish module boundaries.
NetBeans users will see a very nice feature in the IDE plugin: a tool window that simplifies managing JRebel configurations for the list of projects. You will get a better overview of projects configured with JRebel and also working with JRebel Remoting will be much easier.
