VP of Marketing

ZeroTurnaround is a looking for a passionate, driven leader to join our dynamic marketing team. Our VP of Marketing will be at the helm, helping to drive Go-To-Market strategy, Inbound/Demand/Lead Generation as well as Product Marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the entirety of the business, including multinational and local resources, helping to continue to grow our customer base and challenge the status quo in ways that will continue to set us aside from other firms in the Java and IT market!
Desired Skills and Experience –
·       10+ years of progressive marketing experience including 5+ years of recent and significant experience in a marketing leadership position at a high-growth, B2B / software company
·       Experience managing globally-distributed marketing teams, while still maintaining a hands on approach
·       Expertise spanning various disciplines including demand/lead generation, product marketing, and marketing communications
·       Possess a strong quantitative, ROI-driven approach to marketing
·       Demonstrated ability to establish and communicate a shared vision of the strategy and the future direction of the business
·       Strong leadership skills and track record of developing a team combined with a demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats and roll up the sleeves when necessary to fill gaps in the team and accomplish goals
·       Ability to write and communicate well
·       Experience using analytics to drive marketing decisions and strategy

Inbound / Demand / Lead Generation

  • Develop and continuously monitor demand/lead generation strategies for effectiveness
  • Create and implement programs to maximize web site traffic and conversion of traffic into leads
  • Evaluate key performance metrics to quantify and track lead volume and quality (i.e. traffic growth, traffic conversion, eval to opportunity ratios, closing rates, sales cycle, renewal rates, upsell metrics, etc.)
  • Partner with Sales in sharing value-add data and insights regarding lead volume, quality and metrics
  • Develop, implement and scale marketing campaigns that accelerate customer acquisition and account penetration and analyze for continuous improvement

Product Marketing

  • Lead product marketing strategies and tactics for existing and new products
  • Based on market insight (from existing customers, potential customers and market research), quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the market and work with product and engineering teams to integrate customer needs into product and company strategy
  • Develop and drive product launch initiatives (including beta launches, product pricing, positioning, launch schedule and documentation)
  • Collaborate with sales in providing product documentation, competitor intelligence, positioning strategies and training
  • Play a strategic role in new products decisions, product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies 

Marketing Communications

  • Develop and lead unique, creative brand-building strategies that communicate a compelling value proposition and generate awareness about ZeroTurnaround and our products
  • Oversee the growth of content development strategies, including RebelLabs, blogs and social network participation
  • Accelerate company brand awareness through analyst relations, web site, social media, media channels, etc
  • Drive external communications to increase generation of quality leads through content creation, events, conferences, speaking engagements and other initiatives
