Install and Configure JRebel for MyEclipse
In order to take advantage of the power of JRebel for MyEclipse, all you need do is taking three simple steps:
Step 1: Install JRebel for MyEclipse through MyEclipse Configuration Center
1. Open MyEclipse Configuration Center.
2. Search for “JRebel for MyEclipse” plug-in.
- Select Dashboard tab.
- Check “JRebel for MyEclipse” plug-in that is present under Quick-Add Popular Plug-ins section.
- Click Apply 1 change button.
- Follow MyEclipse plug-in installation procedure.
Step 2: License Activation
After you restart the IDE, if you do now have JRebel license yet, the plugin will notify you about this sad fact and ask for registration. Click on the link in the red pop-up and proceed with the license setup.

There’s a number of options how you can activate JRebel license. Most probably, if you’re reading this you’re interested in evaluation license. Here’s what you need to do.
- Register for the evaluation license code.

Open the Activation tab in JRebel plugin settings from Help – JRebel Config Center.
Paste the license code at the Activation tab in JRebel plugin settings and it will be automatically verified. The verified key is saved as
jrebel.licfile in {user.home}/.jrebel directory. - Optionally, if you have a license file (
jrebel.lic), you can save it to{user.home}/.jrebeldirectory, or browse to this file from Activation tab in JRebel plugin settings.
Step 3: Configure JRebel for MyEclipse with a Server of your choice
**Note: The example below uses Tomcat, but the same screenshots are applicable for JBoss AS, WebLogic AS, GlassFish AS, Jetty and more. 1. Open MyEclipse Tomcat/JBoss/WebLogic/GlassFish/Jetty/etc server properties.
2. Configure JRebel settings.

2. Enable JRebel.
