Here is what our users say about us
We found some very interesting side-effects right away. The worst of those was some badly coded Hibernate which would generate over 700 database queries. The JSF memory footprint was a bad surprise - some beans are in the session, that shouldn’t have been there.
For the price, and for how easy it is to get installed and running in a developers’ environment, using JRebel is pretty close to a no-brainer.
The only advantage of being in JavaOne [India] was JRebel. Totally awesome product. Need to try that immediately!
JRebel has the ability to change code dynamically when the program is running or during a debug session, which I have been looking for a long time. I am sure it will save a lot of development time, especially when the size of the project is large.
Since introducing JRebel to our Java development teams, we have not only seen a 30% increase productivity, but also a marked decrease in service requests due to software faults. Our teams can now focus 100% of their attention on development without being hindered by the J2EE cycle Build and Redeploy steps.
Thank you also for JRebel, it is saving my life every day.
Our normal build-deploy cycle would take about 25 seconds. On average, JRebel saves one developer from 10-12 builds per hour. That's roughly five minutes per working hour or 30-35 minutes a day per developer.
It used to take 5 mins to rebuild and restart the server - now we see changes pretty much instantaneously. I saw the value right away.
JRebel is an awesome product. I probably save 3 hours out of a 6.5 hour workday using JRebel - I use Eclipse with JBoss and it saves me a tremendous amount of time by not having to restart JBoss every time I make a change.
Setting up JRebel was completely painless and my questions on the support forum were answered quickly. The performance gains were immediately obvious to us, so after the evaluation period was over we decided to purchase licenses for all our developers.
Over the last 265 days JRebel prevented at least 1,209 redeploys/restarts saving me about 49 hours.
We are all very happy with the fact of not wasting time on things that are not coding and finishing things.
