Setting Up JRebel for External Servers

By using JRebel plugin for Eclipse it is possible to configure application server in case if you want to start the server from command line.

In JRebel Config Center, select the External Servers tab and browse to the location of the server that you want to configure.

The setup utility will create a new startup-jrebel script in Tomcat bin/ directory. You can then use the script to start Tomcat with JRebel. For application servers with domain support (GlassFish, WebSphere) you will have to specify the domain for which you want JRebel to be enabled.

The list of configured servers is persisted in {user.home}/.jrebel/servers.xml file.
